| Overview
Hawaii Real Estate Exam Book is an information-packed study guide for the State section of the Hawaii real estate license exam, presented in a compact, easy-to-study format. Included are over 100 practice questions on Hawaii subject matter, the five main laws (abridged) relating to the sale of Hawaii real estate, an outline of the important points of the Hawaii real estate license law, and a 50-question true/false license law drill.
The Hawaii real estate license exam consists of two sections: Uniform and Hawaii. Each must be passed separately, and the Hawaii section is traditionally the most difficult. The Hawaii Real Estate Exam Book is a guide to the Hawaii content.
You may take and pass each section of the exam separately. If you pass the Uniform section, for instance, but fail the Hawaii section, you need to retake only the Hawaii section any time within the next two years.
The Hawaii Real Estate Exam Book, 9th Edition, published in 2007, contains:
- Abridged versions of the Licensing, Condominium, Time Share, Subdivision Laws and the Landlord-Tenant Code.
- Hawaii Administrative Rules for Real Estate Brokers and Salespersons
- Commonly used Hawaii Association of Realtors standard forms, including Sale (DROA) and Listing Contracts
Good news for mainland licensees! Current and active OUT-OF-STATE LICENSEES may now request a waiver from the Hawaii Real Estate Commission if they can demonstrate they have passed the uniform section of another state's license exam or its equivalent.
If granted, this waiver or equivalency certificate permits the applicant to take only the State section of the Hawaii real estate license examination. The equivalency certificate must be presented at the time of testing, and the examination fee is the same, regardless of whether the candidate takes one or both sections of the exam. See details at Real Estate Commission.
IF THIS IS YOUR PLAN, THIS IS THE ONLY BOOK YOU NEED!
More good news for mainland licensees! You no longer must reside in Hawaii to hold an active Hawaii real estate license and practice part-time in the Aloha state!
And... You may now take your Hawaii Real Estate Exam at a PearsonVUE testing center in your own state.
